House of the Telegram

About Me

Seratonin Telegram is from New Orleans, Louisiana - NOW located in Chicago. The best way to describe the music is: it's a combination of the old sound of classic rock updated and modernized to satisfy the ears of modern listeners and satisfy the technicalities musicians love to hear.

Seratoning Telegram is Chris Chamberlain (for now).

Currently, the Telegram has just finished writing a new album entitled "Fear of the Temple Crown". It is a double album as well as an involved concept album. Some of the songs are songs the band played since the beginning but never were made ready in time for the first album. Two songs (Checks & Balances and Insomnia) are being redone from the first album (the new versions blow the old ones away!). And one song "In Time" is from Chris and Andrew's previous band Jesus Soap. 12 songs from the album are finished.

The upcoming album will be 22 songs - 11 songs on each disc.

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: seratonintelegram.com
Band Members: Chris - Vocals, guitars, 6 string bass, fretless bass, 4 string bass, piano, organ, keyboards, tenor saxophone, alto saxophone, percussion

Additional Members and Contributing Writers:

Andrew Bagget - guitars, bass. Andrew has co-written many songs with Chris since they've been childhood friends - whether it was in Bridge, Jesus Soap or Seratonin Telegram. Andrew has been the originator and co-writer of songs: Sentinel, In Time, Terrycloth Moth, and Something's Got To Break (the main lyrical line from the chorus). All of those are on Fear of The Temple Crown except Terrycloth Moth, which is from the first Album Sinister Logic. Andrew is slated to play for the upcoming shows.

Eric Heigle - Drums. A monster on drums. Eric played drums on Enemy Within, Mouse at the Wall, Checks & Balances, Sentinel, The Devil Waits for Me by the Window, Mask, and Just a Memory. Eric had great, contributing rhythm ideas on Mask, Sentinel, and Just a Memory. Eric is the drummer for Ellipsis.

Marshall Slaig - Drums. This man can do it all. Marshall is slated to play drums for the upcoming shows. Marshall also plays on Thousand Times, Fear Itself, and When the Flood Comes For You Pt. I. All 3 tracks appear on Fear of the Temple Crown.

Michael Baker - Guitar, bass. He co-wrote Insomnia at the insistence of me. Lol. He wrote the verse riff and the bridge. Insomnia was on the first album and will be on Fear of the Temple Crown.

Louis Congemi Jr. - Bass. Louie wrote the intro and verse riff to Enemy Within. Enemy Within is on Fear of the Temple Crown.

Influences: Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Black Sabbath, David Bowie, T Rex, Primus, King Crimson, The Cure, Led Zeppelin, Queens of the Stone Age, A Perfect Circle, Randy Rhoads, Django Reinhardt, Al DiMieola, John McGlaughlin, The Mars Volta, and strangely enough - Video Game music from childhood days (Legend of Zelda, Mega Man etc.)
Sounds Like: Our own sound. But, for past musical cross-breeding purposes: Hard Rock mixed with Floyd, sprinkled with T Rex/King Crimson craziness and STP/Beatley vocal melodies on top.
