 January, 2009 GREETINGS!  Hello, esteemed Vancouver Burlesque supporters, performers, fans and creative community far and wide:
It is with pleasure and great anticipation that we announce that the 4th annual
Vancouver International Burlesque Festival (VIBF)
is less than 5 months away!
This year's festival will take place from May 1 to May 10, 2009 . It will feature the finest, most dynamic performers from the ever-evolving Vancouver Burlesque scene with musicians, comedians, academics, artists and more in creative collaborations. It showcases international Burlesque talent! It is an extravaganza of heart-stopping performances, workshops, fashion shows, film screenings, theatrical productions, art shows, karaoke nights, variety shows, discussion panels, lectures, networking and more!
Perhaps the most amazing feature of this festival however, it that it comes together through the entirely voluntary, dedicated support, hardwork and brilliance that the wide Vancouver Burlesque community (that includes you) has to offer!

Most importantly though, please use the website as a means to get involved: the VIBF would be nothing without its vibrant volunteers, supporters, unique performers and producers so by all means, have a peek and get in touch! There are lots of roles to be filled, from seeking sponsors to volunteering for odd jobs to producing a magical event to performing!  HERE'S HOW YOU CAN BE A PART OF THE FESTIVAL!
