Excuse me while I kiss the sky - Jimi Hendrix

About Me

No Right Angles - From a Ben Lee song.
"I've been thinking about the straight and narrow/ Slip, slide round the back of my hand/ Keep turning and it's almost tomorrow/ I'll find a way to make you understand/ There are no right angles in my life, there are no right angles in my life ..It's about having a curious mind, and seeking out what lies around that corner. There may be violence, there may be something inspiring, and there may be nothing at all. However, you'll never know anything unless you take a peek around the corner.

I've lived, studied and worked in Brisbane, Australia for the past 16 years but now I'm living in Tokyo.

I've always wanted to go abroad to live, but never had the balls to do it until recently. From the short time I've been here and the weird and wonderful things I've experienced, I have developed a love/hate relationship with the city and people. It's a little crazy at times, but I'm learning to enjoy it here.
I'm: Born in Malaysia, I have Chinese roots, but I was raised in Australia hence I have an Aussie accent. Borderline psychotic, eccentric at times and very horny; an introvert in the office, extrovert when drunk. I'm occasionally anti-social. Don't be fooled, don't be scared - I grew up a nerd and a softie and I still am one and people misjudge me at times.

Music:

Being moved by music or experiencing a form of escapism. Trance and House, Alternative, R&B, HipHop, Rap, Reggae, Rock, Ballads, Live music, Bands, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Korean all sorts to be honest. One of my favourites at the moment is Jack Johnson. I also like listening to people play acoustic guitar as I used to play the guitar a little (but I'm pretty retarded) :P. I love people who can play the piano..and I love listening to it live. It's an amazing feeling.I won't bother compiling a list of my fav bands and shit...cos I basically like music from all genres. X-Japan was a legendary J-rock band! Keep the music alive in our hearts :)I've taught some interesting people at work. I've also been lucky to teach some celebrities like Osamu, the drummer from Remioromen (who regularly books my lessons),Yoshihiko Inohara from v6 and a few others.
