The Devil Dolls Motorcycle Club (DDMC) was founded in 1999. We are a group of women with one thing in common, the love of the ride. We promote and encourage the empowerment of women, and encourage women to take a chance and be who they want to be, with or without a partner, with or without a bike. We are in existence to support each other as a family, good, bad, or indifferent, we are sisters.
The DDMC is sponsoring a benefit to send severely burned children to Champ Camp, which is run by the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation (AARBF).
Champ Camp is a weeklong residential summer camp experience that provides a supportive atmosphere in which a child can feel at ease and have fun! The child has an opportunity to meet others who have gone through a similar experience and to realize he/she is not alone with their injury. It spotlights a person's "inner beauty" not the burn scars.
Camp is available to all young burn survivors in California ages 5-16 (with a special Counselor-In-Training program for survivors ages 17-20). Children in border states and Mexico will also be considered. Camp is held in June. Transportation is provided from anywhere in California.
You can read more about the AARBF and Champ Camp at Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation. We will have both a raffle and a silent auction with fantastic prizes. All proceeds will go to benefit this wonderful cause. Last year's event was so wonderful and heartwarming we decided to choose a different charity each year and spread the love all around! We truly appreciate all the love and respect (as well as the HUGE turnout) we received for last year's benefit, and hope to make this one ejust as big of a success!
We have a venue selected (the DNA Lounge) and we have five AWESOME bands.
