"WHAT THE FUNK" was started by Brian Carhart ("PLASTICK") and Tom LaRosa during the winter of 1995 at the infamous Green Room recording studio located in Long Beach Ca. Bill Hutchison (aka WILLIS of "SLICK WILLIS") joined in early 1997 and Tom LaRosa left shortlly after due to creative differences. With Brian producing, "WTF" recorded albums from 1996-2002 occasionally featuring artists such as Riz Story ("ANYONE"), Damon Buerhaus ("ANIMUS GREEN"), Andrew Dobos ("FLAVORDVILLE"), Jim Carhart, Christopher Robin Scott ("PLASTICK"), "JG Orchestra" and violinist Robert Keysers. Purely meant to be a studio project with a no boundries approach to recording and mixing, "WTF's" diverse styles and growth are extremely evident. "WHAT THE FUNK" is an example of open imagination, free expression, talent and integrity.
