About Me

Background from Google search resultFundamental is an aspiring Hip Hop artist and "semi-conscious" lyricist whose subject matter is all-encompassing. Recognizing that the airwaves are saturated with material geared towards perpetuating myths and stereotypes, he endeavors to maintain a delicate equilibrium between commercial and conscious-based content in an attempt to appeal to both thinkers and the general audience alike. He hails from Virginia; however, that southern drawl that is pervasive amid the majority of southern artists is almost completely absent from his music as he has largely been influenced by East Coast lyricists. So then, open your ears and open your mind so that you may experience Hip Hop at it's finest. Advancement in this art form is welcomed; however, through evolution, Hip Hop has lost it's identity somewhat. Let's get back to the Fundamentals! Peace and God bless!

Sounds Like: People have made the observation that my voice is reminiscent of Q-Tip’s; content-wise, I try to compose conscious music (whatever that means); however, I think it’s a healthy almalgam of both underground and mainstream material. I’m not going to comment anymore on this matter as I feel the music largely speaks for itself.
