The Quirkles are an educational based series of books that offer a fresh new way to integrate literacy and science at school or at home. Each book is full of vocabulary builders, character education lessons, and two related science experiments that allow for hands on activities, helping to reinforce the topics that were just read. The series was created by teachers, and each story teaches/reinforces the phonetic sounds that serve as the building blocks for reading, while also making science--earth, physical, and life--fun to learn.
In a galaxy far, far away named Quirk, there lived the Quirkles. The Quirkles were unique little scientists who had vivid imaginations and loved to experiment.
One day, the king of Quirk called them together and asked them to travel to a new land called Boresville to share their discoveries with the creatures that lived there. The creatures of Boresville needed help! They lacked imagination and knowledge.
Off the Quirkles went. The creatures were so excited with their twenty-six new friends, they changed the name of their land to Quirksville to honor them.
And thus began many new adventures for the Quirkles and their friends.
