Born September 1978 under the shadows of Snowdonia in Bangor Rupert Bath was drawn to music from an early age. Rupert can recall watching Top of the Pop regularly from the age of 4 onwards and regularly listening to the top 40 count down on Sunday afternoons. As child Rupert was instinctively creative and always writings stories or drawing cartoon strips with the occasional tinkering on music instruments before being fully and completely drawn in to music upon reaching Secondary school in 1991. It was during his second year at secondary school that Rupert realised he wanted to become a musician and song writer and started by becoming drummer and also taking in piano lessons before moving on to learning the guitar.Since completing his first song aged 14 and winning first place in composition competition aged 18 Rupert Bath has maintained a prolific output of material since and has at present completed 13 albums worth of material. As a lover of classic melodies Rupert bath has tried to infuse pop melodies with articulation and intelligence whilst trying drawing from a broad and eclectic range of influences.Having played in various bands since the age of 14 Rupert Bath went primarily solo from the age of 20 onwards a few collaborations since notably 2001’s “Songs For Island Beagles†with fellow countryman Robert Williams, 2002’s “Songs for Apathy Days†with Liverpudlian artist John Cain and more recently a number of songs with playwright Katherine Kingsford.A live performer since his first tentative steps onto the live circuit aged 17 playing at Bangor’s Greek Tarverna to a grand total of 5 people.
