Greenpoint Artists League

About Me

We're a a non-profit collective trying to foster creative expression through the support of open-mics and open gallery space. We host free concerts and art exhibits on Wednesdays and Sundays in NYC. The first part of our meetings is called "Tent." It's an open philosophical dialogue at a bar with no bars for entry. We discuss a variety of topics from physics to neuroscience, from philosophy of language to philosophy of religion. Afterwards, we have musical, dramatic, and visual performances by members of GAL. Open mic is Wednesday night at 147 Franklin (at Java) and Sundays we start at 66 Greenpoint Ave. (at Franklin) at 5 followed by music performances. Help ensure the survival of the the thriving creativity here by making connections before the influx of 16,000 new residents. Please write for more information and please feel free to post your artwork or ideas.
