LEXXX

Alex Villar, otherwise known as DJ Lexxx, has had almost 2 decades of experience in the San Francisco DJ industry. Though born in the United States, he is very proud of his Peruvian heritage. His musical journey began in 1988 in his junior year in high school when he first discovered his love of music and turntablism under the mentoring of a local Hip-Hop DJ named ADR. DJing proved to be easy for Lexxx as he quickly learned how to scratch, beat juggle and beat match with his hard-earned equipment that he worked two jobs just to acquire. He then was able to perfect his skill playing a unique mix of Hip-Hop, Merengue, Cumbia, Salsa, Latin, Top 40€™s and Freestyle, staying true to his South American culture.

By 1990, DJ Lexxx earned his first booking at a corporate holiday event and acquired his love of performing. His talent was immediately recognized and within a couple years, established a flourishing mobile DJ business through word of mouth. As Lexxx€™s DJ career took off, he became widely known within the Latin Community, was in high demand and booked at countless weddings, birthday parties, quinceaneras, baptisms and many other events.

In 1996 after many years of experience, DJ Lexxx formed his production company, Trikstyle. Under this name, he promoted underground events showcasing himself and other local Hip-Hop talent. This gained him even more popularity in his field and in a couple years he became overwhelmed with his influx of mobile DJ bookings and decided to take a break from the scene. During that time, he discovered his true passion for electronic dance music when he happened to win tickets to an electronic dance music show and immediately connected with the music.

In 1998, DJ Lexxx was ready to make a come-back but this time not playing Hip-Hop, Latin or Top 40€™s but playing solely dance music, namely Trance, House and Hard NRG. His newfound love of DJing inspired him to delve deeply into the San Francisco underground rave scene where he found inspiration from local Trance pioneer, DJ Mystre, who became his friend and mentor. Lexxx became known for his signature power-mixing blend of hard beats and beautiful melodies and soon acquired residencies with such production crews as Afterhour Power from Los Angeles, Europa Dreams and Infusion Productions at San Francisco clubs such as Club Lamia, Rawhide, Cocomo's, Ibiza, Shanghai 1930, Glaskat and many more.

Over the years, DJ Lexxx has accomplished much in the San Francisco underground rave scene. He has his own weekly streaming internet radio show where he plays live for thousands of listeners from all over the world. He has promoted numerous rave events under his Trikstyle Productions alias and DJed for many other production crews including Reverb ; DJ Mystre & DJ ICON €™s production company, Aquarius Productions, Elektrosorcery, Too Much Fun Crew, All In the Family, Illumination Productions and countless others. In 2004, he also performed on the Reverb Records and Skills DJ Workshop float at the first annual Love Parade in San Francisco.

Aside from DJing at parties and on the internet, DJ Lexxx is a integral member of the rave/club scene, he goes to every major event in San Francisco to take pictures and videos to post on his new website, DJLexxx.com, formerly Trikstyle.com. He also finds time to take younger inexperienced newcomers under his wing and mentors them to become better DJs as he had been mentored in the past.

DJ Lexxx continues to expand his fan base and perfect his power-mixing in the San Francsico underground and plans to keep DJing, producing events and supporting the scene that he loves.
