Cryogenic recordings was founded in 2002 as an outlet and identity for underground musicians and artists. We at Cryogenic believe that the future of music lies with the underground artist and although the music industry is ever evolving we see change as positive. All major record labels care about is profit and marketability and this means that so much music is lost to the world, as it is deemed not sellable. We don't care about the money, we care about the music, and with the majors being so blinkered with their vision we believe are mission is to unearth and support underground artists and musicians nationwide. The future of the independent music industry is the Co-Op - and we're not talking frozen pizza's and cheap booze here my friends, we're talking about collaboration, trust and respect from the artists, labels, distributors, promoters and most importantly fans, or enthusiasts as we like to call them here in the UK. There's no ego or attitude here at the Cryogenic camp just LOVE.
Of course artists need to be supported and the way we work here is a 50/50 split, the artists get half and the label gets half - we make no profit what so ever. The funds that do get accumulated go straight back into the next release and we learn and grow with every one of them. We are six years old and have plenty of new projects coming that will be released on limited 7"s, CD's and via digital downloads.. so go ahead and support us and the artists we represent.
