Street Emcees is Manchester’s Number One Hip-Hop music company…supporting all the biggest and best underground, up and coming Emcees and crews in our great city of the North West.
We started supporting the biggest Manchester Hip-Hop Emcees about 3 years ago, with our studio in North Manchester, where most of the Manchester crews have been recording their tracks...including Emcees like Shotty, Mayhem (Shifty, Slayer and Blizzard), Hypes (Highrise Entertainment), Wrigley, and many more.
Recently though, over the last few months...we have decided to start working more closely with the Emcees and help them promote their music on the streets. So now, we’re committed to working with the best artists by helping them fund the pressing of their CDs, Mix-tapes and Merchandise (T-shirts, e.t.c). We will also take care of distribution to all the Manchester city record shops on behalf of the Emcees.
We have already begun our promotional work with Shotty (helping out by supporting some of his T-Shirt merchandising), and we intend to be expand our support by funding other upcoming 'Shotty' projects: like his CDs and other merchandise. And we’re committed to offering this new service to other talented Manchester Emcees who are looking for extra funding to take their careers to the next level. The main thing we are concerned about when funding any project is this: can your project make money (profit) for us and for you. If it will make good profit, we'll likely be very interested in hearing from you to discuss it further with you.
Although we would love to be able to fund every Emcee’s project…unfortunately, we cannot invest in everyone so, we need to be selective and work with only a few Emcees/crews (basically, we can only invest and fund the people who can make a very decent profit from their project...that way we can both get money out of it). So, if you’re an up and coming Manchester Emcee with a very high demand for your music, and your project is profitable...and you need funding for your project, you should email us at [email protected] OR [email protected] OR call Ken on 07832226979 OR Anthony (07964162130) and we will do our best to see what we can do for you.
We’re also releasing our upcoming Mix-tape (Street Emcees Mix-Tape 2007, Vol.1), which will feature all the best Emcees in the Manchester scene. We’re running a competition for the Emcees who will get to feature on this Mix-tape, and we’ll be choosing the winners based on those who make it through our selection process…again, competition for this Mix-Tape is serious, so if you’re an Emcee and you want to get on this Mix-Tape, email us now at [email protected] for details of the competition.
Street Emcees is going International: we’re making our entry into the U.S. Hip-Hop market. Right now, we’re planning to put on our very first Hip-Hop show in New York in late November, 2007 (in association with the New York Hip-Hop artist, Squala Orphan/Sidlocks Promotions). There should be some exciting artists performing on the day (including Papoose (DJ Kay Slay), Hell Rell and Freaky Zeaky (DipSet), Squala Orphan and more. So we’ll keep you posted about the event in the coming weeks, once the details have been confirmed. Please contact us if you’re interested in attending this event.
Manchester Hip-Hop Fans: We’re planning to release a Street Emcees video (coming soon) featuring Manchester’s finest Emcees…we’re also running a competition, where the winner will get to appear in the video with their favourite Emcee. If you’d like to be in the video with Manchester’s best Emcees…you should contact us for details about the competition.
We’re also building a ‘Street Team.’ You’ll see them out and about in Manchester city centre, promoting our CDs and Merchandise (Street Emcees T-shirts and other clothes). If you’re interested in joining our street team, contact us for details on how you can join the team, the Street Emcees family.
