An incredible vocalist and songwriter Elle B. has had a passion for singing since her first solo at the age of 13. It was fitting that Elle sang the "The Impossible Dream" that day, for she has been following her own set of dreams ever since.
Elle B was born and raised in Los Angeles California into a music oriented family. She accredits her mother, who is classically trained, for her beautiful voice. As a teenager, she was lead soloist in singer Brandy Norwood’s Kids Foundation Choir. There she was able to perform live on the Moesha show, and several other events including a performance for the People for the American Way, and Disney’s American Teacher’s Awards.
Although her initial choice was to put education first, her love for music always stayed constant in her heart, performing around campus and various events around LA. Now, after receiving her B.A. degree from the University of Southern California, Elle B. has made music her full-time career.
Elle B.'s soulful musical style and relevant lyrical content proves her commitment to the true art of music. She takes her inspirations from such singers as Donny Hathaway, Mary J. Blige, Nina Simone and Gladys Knight and has on many occasions been compared to vocalist Lauryn Hill because of her uncanny vocal similarities.
As an entertainer, Elle has a cool confidence that engages the audience and leaves them wanting more. Her unforgettable voice has had the power to charm such acclaimed singers as Yolanda Adams, Mya and Monica, while impressing several label executives from former YabYum Records and Elektra Records and Island Def Jam.
Elle B. is currently working with several talented producers including Yo.el, Timothy Armstrong and Drew Scott. She is ready to take the music world by storm with her forthcoming LP, The Girl Next Door, set to release Fall 2007.
