About Me

We are surrendering our lives to the one who surrendered His life for us.
We share what we got with those who have not.
We live to love the least, the last, and the lost.
What Is Spicey Mustard?
The mustard seed must be crushed (broken) to release its spiciness. In ancient days mustard seeds were crushed to be made into a healing balm much like the Vics vapor rub of today.
Crushed mustard seed in all its spiciness was also known as a symbol of power - kinda like Jesus defeating death by being betrayed, beaten, and executed. But HE IS RISEN!
We're about Kingdom community, dying to ourselves, taking up the cross daily, loving our enemies, and laying down our lives for our friends. Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds" (John 12:24).
Crushed? Yes, but full of the power of life and love!
Again Jesus said, "What shall we say the kingdom of God is like, or what parable shall we use to describe it? It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest seed you plant in the ground. Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds of the air can perch in its shade." - Mark 4:30-32
