Unlike most I know, I cheerfully admit to my own selfishness. I am self-made, self-absorbed, self-serving, even self-deprecating, in a charming sort of way. I am all the selfs except selfless! Every so often I run across a force of nature that shakes my sublime self-centeredness to it's very roots. It tears through the landscape like a tornado, leaving nothing but ruin and reexamination in it's wake.
The passing of someone that you held close to the top on your list of loved ones will cause pain that is not easily endured. The misery of those left behind is heartbreaking.
A member of the sweeter sex, leaving after 34 years of marriage, to live with another woman is like getting hit in the ass with a freight train too!
Oh well, back to the task at hand. I spent nearly six years in the military (Army) in the 60's. I worked for a short time for Chrysler Corporation in Kokomo, Indiana. I have worked for myself most of my life. Owned several television-radio repair shops. Built computers. Wrote some programs and still play around with the things. I commercial fished for trout, redfish and grouper out of Bokeelia, Florida for better than 25 years. Would someone please tell me how I could end up in Lenoir City, Tennessee? No palm trees, no sunshine, no sun tans, no bikinis. Probably need a frontal lobotomy or brain surgery of some sort.
