DEEP WATER PRODUCTIONS History: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Deep Water Productions was founded on March 14, 2008 in Richmond, VA. Its conception was first realized by its Artistic Director, Margarette Joyner, who wanted to contribute to the preservation of the African American experience through the performing arts. Her vision was simply to provide an outlet for performing artists where they would express themselves through the arts in a nurturing, uplifting and inspirational environment.When partners, Kellita Wooten, Artistic Designer,and Carolyn Moseley, Financial Manager , heard Ms. Joyner speak about the vision they did not hesitate in joining her. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~MISSION STATEMENT: ~ To Provide An Outlet Through The Performing Arts Where Others Will Be Inspired. ~ PURPOSE: ~ The purpose of DEEP WATER PRODUCTIONS, is to provide artists an opportunity to participate in African American inspired theatrical productions sponsored by the organization. It will provide an outlet for aspiring artists to debut their artistry and will nurture seasoned artists. It will provide an outlet for artists 55 and older, who can sometimes be forgotten.
