Rupert and The Robbers

About Me

BIOGRAPHY (updated January 2009) Formed in early 2008, Rupert and The Robbers hail from Hereford. With only a handful of gigs under their belt, The Robbers can already boast some major supports including a sold-out show with The Subways, as well as shows with The Young Knives, Pete and the Pirates, The Holloways and Bombay Bicycle Club to name a few.
The band have been championed by the likes of Steve Lamacq, John Kennedy and Tom Robinson, with Lamacq picking them as his 'Unsigned Band of the Week' in August 2008. The band’s demos have been played on Radio 1, 6Music and XFM. They also played at the 2008 In The City Festival and did a live TV session on the City Life Social (Channel M).
The Robbers will release a limited edition 7” single in the spring, and will tour the UK in support of the release.
