My name is Jon Minners and I am Bronx born and bred. I lived in Morris Park for 26 years and then lived in Throggs Neck for four years before I recently moved in with my girlfriend Kristy in Astoria. Queens is my new home and as a Mets fan that makes sense, but I still love the Bronx. I work there and it will always hold a special place in my heart. I went to P.S. 108, I.S. 144 and Christopher Columbus High School. I moved on to Baruch College and worked at the Carvel on Williamsbridge Road for six years before landing a job at the Norwood News and then for the last seven years at the Bronx Times Reporter where I am currently the sports editor.
