Petra van Delft was born in Duisburg, Germany.
She was drawn to music at an early age, starting to perform with an Swing-Ensemble at age 14.
She is looking back on beautiful times in the 70th, when she was touring with Silvio Francesco, Caterina Valente, Lys Assia, the Blue Diamonds and others.
Music is her most loyal companion in her life.
Due to her marriage to Willem van Delft, she decided to move across the ocean to Canada and to the USA.
There she got stimulated to develop her voice in a jazzier direction. Unfortunately Willem past away in 1991.
Back in Germany in 1994, she started working with different musicians, like Botho Lucas, Wolfgang Sauer and others.
She is a proud mother of a son, Nick van Delft, who became a very good musician himself.
In 2003 she met the musicians from the Blue Note Quartet cologne (Ralf Könsgen-piano, Gerd Brenner-bass, Peter Herzog-guitar, Jürgen Klinkenberg-drums) and it came to a development of a wonderful Collaboration.
Her life is filled with MUSIC, LOVE and ENERGY.
