My Boo, Baseball, college hoops, Movies at the Arclight, Jack-in-the-box tacos, all types of music, TiVo, world peace
Beastie Boys, U2, Groove Armada, Kanye West, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, R.E.M. (pre-Monster), Journey (why not?), Frank Sinatra, pretty much any & everything that doesn't have a last name Simpson.... except maybe Ashford & Simpson, they had a good song or two, and I wonder if O.J. can sing?
Kicking and Screaming (not Will Ferrell version), Bottle Rocket, Big Lebowski, Garden State, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Godfather 1 & 2, Safe Men, Boogie Nights, Seven, Lord of the Rings trilogy, Career Opportunities, Clifford (Martin Short, not the big red dog), hardcore Spanish porn
The Office, Chuck, Lost, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip- R.I.P., The Wire, Seinfeld (still the best thing on TV), Arrested Development, The O.C., Prison Break, The Daily Show, My Name is Earl, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Twin Peaks, Six Feet Under, Sopranos, SNL (Farley, Hartman, Ferrell, Carvey), Family Guy, The Larry Sanders Show, Get a Life, The Ben Stiller Show (greatest 13 episode show in TV history)
Been a slacker on books the last several years but loved the Lord of the Rings trilogy plus the Hobbit. The Chronicles of Narnia also good as a kid. Sports books like "The Curious Case of Sidd Finch", "Ball Four", John Feinstein's books. The behind the scenes SNL book was great and the only piece of real literature I've read in the last few years was "Catcher in the Rye"
Joseph "Blue" Palasky (R.I.P. - You're my boy!), Dale Murphy, Larry Bird, Lou Gehrig, Frank Sinatra... Is Wes Anderson too close in age to myself to be considered a hero? I also like the guy who wrote the theme to the "Greatest American Hero" whoever that brave soul is
