I am Jonathan Alexander, a committed progressive/atheist from New York City. I support Ralph Nader’s candidacy for president of the United States, even though my friends poke fun at me. I was raised to believe that if I truly support something, I should not sit back and remain silent. So instead of settling for a newbie like Barack Obama, I’m going to support someone who has been trying to give power back to the working people of this nation for over 40 years: Ralph Nader. If you want to support someone who only represents the special interests of big businesses, that’s your problem; but it sure as hell is not going to be mine.

Anybody who is open to new ideas and experiences is fine by me. I’m capable of being friends with conservatives and communists alike. Political or religious beliefs should not prevent two people from being friends.
