La quimica musical fue casi instantanea, causa a que David,Charlie, se conocen desde la infancia y Ritchie, Sergio aka "Julio" en la preparatoria. Decidieron escojer un nombre para el proyecto, dandose cuenta al poco tiempo que ya habia un grupo con el mismo nombre, aunque no con el mismo significado, eso los llevo a la decision obvia de cambiar el nombre. Finalmente llegaron al acuerdo de llamarse Oliver, tomando influencia del nombre anterior. El sonido Oliver consiste, en la educacion y experiencia musical de cada uno sin dejar atras la energia y versatilidad para presentarse ante cualquier ecenario y publico. Con la instrmunetacion de Voz, Guitarra, Bajo, Bateria, Congas/Percuciones, ellos se atreven a mezclar sus influencias ( Rock, Latin, Blues, Fusion, etc.) Oliver estan abiertos a cualquier evolucion sin dejar su sonido propio.
In the summer of 2007 four musicians not happy with their own individual bands took on the decision to form a new band together. The musical chemistry was almost instantaneous, the cause being that David, Charlie knew each other from childhood and Ritchie, Sergio aka "Julio" played together since high school. They decided to come up with a name for the new band soon realizing there already was another band with the same name, although not with the same meaning, this brought them to the obvious decision to change the name. Finally deciding to call themselves Oliver taking in mind the influence of the previous name.The Oliver sound consists of the musical education and experience of each one. Without leaving behind the energy and versatility to present themselves in front of any stage or audience. With the instrumentation of vocal, guitar, bass, drums, conga/percussion mixing their influences fearlessly (rock, Latin, blues, fusion, etc.) Oliver welcome evolution without letting go of their own sound.
