About Me

Who We Are:
We specialize in Japanese high performance automotive parts for both street and circuit use. Our extensive knowledge and experience with Japanese tuning products allows us to bring you the best Japan has to offer. We are the North American distributor and representative for Spoon Sports, one of the world's leading Honda tuners and race teams. We also are distributors for such popular and reputable brands as Buddy Club, Endless & Zeal, Alex, T1R, J's Racing, Jun, Bride, Defi, and JDM Honda just to name a few.
Philosophy:
Our focus is tuning cars for circuit and street. Consequently, we believe a car needs to be balanced; its power, handling, reliability, feel, comfort all need to be balanced together to provide an enjoyable driving experience. A successful circuit car is not always the most powerful one, but the one which has the best overall balance and is consistent. Power must be usable and reliable. A car's setup should be easy to drive and enjoyable, not exhausting, for the driver. Parts need to be carefully chosen; any added or replaced part should not only improve performance, but also provide other benefits such as higher quality, improved strength and reliability, reduced weight, improved driving feel, and synergy with the rest of the car.
To this end, we are committed to bringing you proven, high quality products. We realize that every situation and need is different and we are committed to helping you find the best solution for your needs. Furthermore, because we know that you'd rather be focused on your car and the track, we are committed to making your shopping as smooth as possible.
History:
Our roots began with A&J Karting in 1991. Through A&J Karting's racing activities then and now, we developed a love the circuit that continues to this day. In 1992, we began offering performance automotive parts, service, and machine work. Our involvement with Honda started with an EF Civic hatchback powered by individual throttle bodies and a custom ECU. Then, the early 1990s saw the introduction of the Honda B16A engine to North America and our love of VTEC began. Our long experience with Spoon began not long after. In 1995, we became one of the first companies in North America to offer Spoon Sports. In 1997 we became Spoon's distributor for the west coast and by 1999, we were distributing all across North America. Currently, we support a distribution network of 11 retailers situated in all major North American markets.
Unlike many Japanese performance part importers, we actually have extensive experience using the parts we sell. No one in North America has more knowledge and experience with Spoon Sports than us. We have used the full range of Spoon products on both our demo and customer cars; from stroker kits to suspension to brakes, we have seen it all. This knowledge is not limited to Spoon, but is extended to all brands we sell. We test and try before we sell to make sure we know what we're offering you!
In the last few years, we have also developed direct relationships with other major Japanese companies, including Endless/Zeal, Buddy Club, J's Racing, and Alex. This year, we are excited to add Jun to this list. In addition, we have also expanded our activities. In 2002, we sponsored and supported two Integra Type R's racing in SCCBC's West Coast Challenge. We were also proud to support Spoon's first ever race in North America when Tatsuru Ichishima, president of Spoon Sports, drove the Spoon S2000 race car to victory in the Molson Indy Vancouver Sedan Invitational. Looking forward, we are excited to face new challenges and opportunities. A new generation of Hondas has arrived, bringing with it new potential and challenge!
