About Me
i started playing guitar in 1970 ,played in bands in junior high, and high school, played in a polynesian show,that won on the gong show, played for mayor bradleys 125$ a plate campaign fund raiser, actress lynda day george and husband chris george recommended our band.was in a house band at don the beachcomber in marina del rey for a long time with the okalanis, that was all a blur,then i spent some years being meatloaf,the rodie, working with ,the dream syndicate, little america on geffen, celebrity skin,45 grave,human drama, glen frey,jerry riopelle, michael anderson, jeff rollins,god bless him,todd sharp, gregg wright,danny spanos,odds and ends,little girls,circle of soul, carla olsen and the textones,danny johnson and the bandits,worked a lot with jimmy z and his horn section ,nick lane , worked in the studio on a couple of records with them. worked with the eurythmics, toured with the go gos ,billy idol, private life opening for van halen us tour 1990 , toured with steve wynn and the dream syndicate, worked in studio with private life and eddie vanhalen and ted templeman at one on one studios, guitar and drum tech on percy sledge's last album shining through the rain. then came some movies, the adventures of briscoe county jr, with bruce cambell. played chinese immigrant in a fight with my rubber shovel. along with my singer dave kechkut,and drummer ,brother chris koga,then a movie ,death match with matias hues,i had a ring fight got beat down,then guardian angel, with cynthia rothrock,gang fight, fists of iron with michael worth, my brother and i fight in a garage scene, la wars i had a speaking part cussing bartender out,then got beat down and thrown out of boardners bar,red sun rising with don the dragon wilson, played yakuza, got throat cut. tiger heart with ted jan roberts, lots of fights. during all this the bad boys were still playing on weekends at california bar and grill im carson and hawthorne. and goin to ventura playin a few clubs there. i talk about the movies because my singer dave and drummer ,brother chris, we did the movies and played in the band too, you get beat up doin some falls and flips on the street. then i got in a bad accident chainging a tire on the fwy, a drunk came and broke and shattered my hip and tailbone,and that put a stop to everything for a couple of years. but now were ready to rock. we did the songs at vic germanos little 8 track studio in simi valley in 1 take more or less,thanks vic,we love you. worked at uncle rehersal studios for many years out in van nuys ca. with scott walton and his brother mark, gary eaton, pat angerson , paul cassarino,these guys are all great musicians and influences of mine,also worked with richard fortune and his brother,drummer mick. whoooa whooooa. cant forget mark at carvin great guitar player. and robbie rist lookin to get beat in some bowling. yo . and gary at uncles what up. i miss my buddy snake rock who moved to las vegas, if you need any thing in vegas, hit him up at s and k music studio, and store. love you snake and karen and family.
