Identity: Who We Are
The Encounter is an electrifying move of God taking place in the young adult community. The event exists to unite, encourage, and equip high school and college aged students (ages 18 to 30) through an intimate worship experience and study of the word of God. We are not a local church. We are a resource for partnering with churches to help mobilize young adults through discipleship and corporate worship.
Mission: What We Are About:
Our goal is to unite students to stand together and be an example of righteous living in their generation. It is our desire to inspire the believer and also equip them to use their influence to change the world.
Strategy: How We Operate:
We host two monthly events at Hope Christian Church. The first event, The Encounter, takes place every 4th Sunday. This event is a worship experience that includes Christian poetry, liturgical dance, dramatic presentation, visual art through painting, a brief exhortation from an ordained minister, and musical selections from Christian artist.
The second event, The Encounter: Elevation, takes place every 2nd Sunday of the month. We also offer a large group Bible Study and Prayer Gathering that caters to the young adult community. This Bible study is a creative and interactive experience that includes panels, Q&A sessions, light refreshments, group activities, and other innovative opportunities for young adults to get a deeper understanding of God’s word in a relevant way. The would also be a message delivered on that night from ministry partners who are anointed, relevant, and gifted at speaking to young people. The night will close out with a musical presentation from a special guest.
