Sentec (real name Karol Frackowiak) comes from Poznan, the city in north-west Poland. He started his interests in electronic music in mid 90's. His first inspiration was the 'Techno Warriors' tape which he received as a gift from his cousin. On that tape there were such artists as Moby and his historic track 'Go'. After some time, he started to collect records of such styles as gabba, rave and goa trance. Today, as he recalls those times he says: "...Back in those days the word 'techno' didn't mean the exact music trend in electronic music. By saying 'techno' you meant the general understanding of electronic music. The same thing was happening with me till I started to become more absorbed in new sounds and discovering new styles." The most significant moment that changed Sentec's approach to music was the time of discovering Tresor Records from Germany. The music of such artists as Cristian Vogel, Neil Landstrumm, Pacou, Joey Beltram and Jeff Mills was a mile-step in forming Sentec's music taste. Another turning point that expanded his music horizons was the discovery of Polish radio broadcast 'Technical College of Music (Technikum Mechanizacji Muzyki). At that time he first heard Dj Misjah, Dj Disco, Andy Slate, Acid Junkies and Josh Wink. The biggest inpression was caused by the dj mentioned above- Misjah. Later on, Sentec noticed that the hobby had changed into passion which gave him the opportunity to try his strength in playing as a Dj. After several weeks and sleepless nights of improving his dj-ing skills, the time had come to try his best at the club. Sentec started playing at the clubs in such citys as Poznan, Leszno and Gniezno. In the end of 2006 Sentec moved to London where he lives at the moment. During his searching of new record labels and new names in the techno world ( which he says it starts to shrink, unfortunately) he encountered the new records of such artists as Elton D, Carl Falk, Axel Karakasis, Boriqua Tribez, which have become the new wave of inspiration for Sentec.
