About Me

I live somewhere in Massachusetts and work for a school system as a team chairperson for special education. I am married (for the second time) and have two little girls (one from my first marriage and one from my current marriage). Life is pretty good. My husband and I get along well with my ex-husband, which is great for my older daughter. We're a pretty busy family during the week, between making dinner, helping with homework, softball practice for my daughter, and the woodworking class my husband and I are taking - we're exhausted by the end of the week. I like keeping busy and productive, though. I don't like to feel like I'm wasting time. Life is too short. I try hard to be a good person and to do the right thing - which isn't always easy. I still love going to concerts, but my husband doesn't, so I always have to enroll other people to be my groupie buddies. I've been seeing Live since 1994 when they played my spring weekend in college. When my kids are playing in their rooms, I take the opportunity to try and learn how to play guitar. It's not as easy as it looks. My brother is a great guitar player and can play anything just from hearing it once. I will never come close to him. I've been trying to learn some Live songs - the ones that are easy to play. Chordie.com is a great site for finding chords for songs.

My Interests

Learning how to play guitar (not well - it's only been a few months); baking and some cooking; woodworking (not on my own - my father-in-law teaches woodworking classes).

I'd like to meet:

I've already met Ed Kowalczyk and the rest of Live a few times. After being in love with him for 12 years, I finally got to have my picture taken with him in July of 2006. I also met Nancy Wilson from Heart in 1999. She played at a little nightclub in Northampton. I've got pictures of the show and I have a picture of her signing a cd for me. I'd like to meet John Lennon, but that won't be happening. I'd still like to meet Tori Amos. I've seen her in concerns 4 times and was skunked every one of them. I'd also like to meet Olivia Newton-John, Bruce Willis, Dennis Quaid, and some of the soap stars from my favorite soaps.

Music:

Live, Live, & more Live; The Beatles; John Lennon; Tori Amos; Heart; 80's music; Sheryl Crow; 60's to today - rock and alternative, a couple country people are ok.

Movies:

As Good As It Gets (my favorite movie) Scrooge with Albert Finney (I don't know why - it just cracks me up), Grease, Sleeping Beauty (has always been my favorite Disney movie - the blue dress is so much better than the pink), The Princess Bride, Horror movies.

Television:

I am a verified SoapNet addict. I watch All My Children, One Life To Live, and General Hospital. I like House, but haven't seen it in awhile. Not much tv watching these days.

Books:

I don't spend much time reading. I did read one of my husband's Sherlock Holmes book a couple months ago and it was pretty good. I generally don't read because, once I start, I can't put the book down until it's done. That makes for very unproductive weekends.

Heroes:

Ed Kowalczyk Tori Amos John Lennon My kids
