My name is Matt and I was born in a small town in California called Ojai (pronounced o-hi). I went to public school and then college and didn't really know what I wanted to do and thought about Business, and then Law but did an internship and found out that I didn't like law. Then after college I went down to Central America to learn Spanish and while I was there I kind of changed my views on life and what it's about. I felt like in the United States people are too busy and are disconnected from some of the really important aspects of life, primarily nature. So I decided one day that I wanted to start a small Permaculture hostel in Costa Rica. So then I came back here to save up money and around October of '08 I'm going to go back down to start fixing up the mountainous jungle area that will become the farm..
