Searing Meadow

About Me

Mika Ikonen and Ville Pekkala founded Searing Meadow in summer 1999. Ville Korhonen and Antti Hakkala were recruited to the band in the following year. The band released three self-financed demos between 2000 and 2002 after they signed a record deal with Finnish label called Rising Realm Records. The band’s debut album “Corroding From Inside” was recorded in Turku at Noise Camp Studios in May 2004 and the debut was released in 2005. The US label Crash Music licenced the album and handled the distribution globally.Sasu Haapanen joined the band as a third guitarist in late 2004. Miska Lehtivuori from Fall of The Leafe joined the band as a bass player in 2005 because the band’s longstanding bass player Ville Korhonen got himself a job abroad and was forced to left the band for good.In february 2007 Searing Meadow entered the Noise Camp studios and recorded two new songs. The outcome was simply called Promo 2007. The band is currently negotiating about a new record deal.
