Jonny Wills and The Wow

About Me

This name I have chosen after the Wow! signal, which can be read about here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wow!_signal. Not because its 4 letters away from the old name, or in the same vein as the Who and Wham!. No. I have set myself some interesting challenges for this next phase of my endeavours. Namely:to actually get a platform for my bodies of work, which are constantly piling up behind me. to make an album that is entertaining and groovy from start to finish. to get a decent live show on the road. And most controversially, I am preparing to dance at you. If any of this intrigues or tickles your French fancy, please get in touch and let me know what you think of the songs, and/or add me as a myspace friend. Please check out Jean Sans Problem used as the soundtrack to 'Single Life' which won the National 48 hour Film Competition ahead of 450 other entrants. http://www.rubberductions.com/filmography/single_life Thank you!! And yes of course, it does mean the World to me. Jonny x MyGen Profile Generator MyGen Profile Generator

Sounds Like: Reviews: “A woody, earthy voice and a well-observed wit accompany layers of gentle folk arrangements that peel off deeper and deeper with every listen, revealing rich acoustic craftsmanship that’s too good to be soiled by the charts.” The Brighton Source‘Album of the Month ****’ (Paradise of Song) “…mood-defining stuff…..a voice that sits somewhere between Morrissey and Michael Stipe…impressive…” New Currents, Brighton‘His self-produced album Paradise of Song is a largely acoustic affair that displays his love of ‘the song’. A hopeless romantic he may be, but Jonny Wills is a superb craftsman perfectly at home with the tools of his trade.’ The Latest, Brighton. The "I have been told I sound like" department:Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Anthony Newley, Michael Stipe, Morrissey, Ray Davies, John Lennon, Robert Smith, Blane Anderson. My favourite singers/vocalists are all of the above except Anthony Newley, plus: Nat King Cole, Terence Trent D'arby, Chris Martin, Si McKay MyGen Profile Generator MyGen Profile Generator MyGen Profile Generator MyGen Profile Generator
