I see it in the little boys, the old women, I see it in the wordless eyes of the men beside me.There is a secret.There is an awareness that we can no more be eliminated than the earth itself can- that we can't be subjugated or marginalized or enslaved- that we are only as real as the wind and the fire, the water and the earth... and just as eternal.We are a nation of people struggling to be free.We are sun dancers, we are fire-tenders, we are the children of the one true God. We are young men in boots, we are elders in mocassins. We are tipis and community centers, we are eagle feathers in pickup trucks.Our resistance is not a matter of race or of politics. This is a matter of our humanity, our relationship to the earth we cling to like infants to the breast of their mother.We are alive, and we will continue to live.I'm a 33 year old licensed tattooist in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I make custom handmade tattoo machines. EVERY part is handmade. I make the frames from scratch, I fabricate the armature bars, wind the coils myself, cut the springs, everything. I also do a lot of customizations as far as color, coil covers, etc etc. Plus, when you buy a custom handmade machine you have the chance to give your input, as far as exactly what you're looking for- a machine for doing names, for example, or a shader that will push really big mags for backpieces. So you really get a far superior machine compared to the stuff from CAM or whoever.
