.The Heavenly Melodies Gospel Singers Of New orleans La.In the 1950's Rev, James A. Penns and five of his daugthers were travelling througout Louisiana and The United States. It was well known, When Rev, Penns was preaching, The Penns Sisters will be singing. In 1964 the sisters decided to become more formally organized under the name The Heavenly Melodies Gospel Singers of New Orleans. Over the years this group has been featured on many stages, The New Orleans Jazz Heritage Festival, Tipitinas, The New Orleans Super Dome and The House Of Blues, Just to name A few, The Heavenly Melodies has also travled througout Europe, But, it is in the church, this is where The Heavenly Melodies has made there mark. The Heavenly Melodies are all family members, This group remained faithful to the word of God. The group consist of two sisters and A niece. The members are...
