This was my dad. And this was when he was happiest. He had such a passion for animals, particulary dogs, and this is Dexter the dog..

Recently, My dad passed, Tuesday 16th January, 2007.

I never really had contact with him through the recent years, but up until the age of about 13, he was everything to me. And now he's nothing.

This poor man had cancer on and off for 2 years, only this time he couldnt fight it. He lost 4 stone in weight, his hair, ability to communicate properly and all sense of confidence.

He made his mistakes, and yes, hurt me in the past, but I made mistakes also, I regret never patching things up with him, never having that "father, Daughther" relationship with him. But nothing I can do or say will change that now.

Due to the fact that I never really saw him over the past 3 years made this somewhat easier to cope with in the beginning. I felt as though nearly nothing had changed, I still didnt see him, only now I couldnt if I wished to. But with time to think clearly, after a week and a half of his passing, I have come to realise that I have lost alot more that I know. I have realised those small little details, were things he did for me only to protect in my youth.
