Ras Maisha moved to Oakland C.A. U.S.A to live with Father in 1990 and then in 1993 to Pittsburgh P.A for 3 years of high School.Ras Maisha was a 100m Citytrack champion in High school 95-96 and was known for singing reggae in all the tallent shows @ school. After Graduating Peabody High school 1996 in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Ras Maisha took a RASTAFARI vow not to trim nor shave & became a regular attendee @ Nyabinghi in Jamaica and the U.S. A, Pgh to Washington D.C to Atlanta. Ras Maisha started recording on a small scale in 1998 and he recorded first demo with P Smith.of the SWAMP BAND@ State of heart studio in Pittsburgh PA that same year. Ras Maisha did some of his first shows in U.S with Fya Wya and the UNIVERSAL BAND who also works with Benji Myers and Taurus Riley. After Community college in 2002 Ras Maisha recorded and co-prduced 3demo and 3 solo albums with Jpad of G.M.E. Records his manager -producer who now runs G.M.E. Records.In 02,Chant up the ises,03Heal I,04who give,05-06Stand up and in 2007-081966 Selassie i visit . Ras Maisha is an graphic artist -painter and desingner in his spare time.Ras Maisha also desing cloathing for Afar clothinng since 2002 and Kojo roots due in stores 09 .Ras Maisha also recorded with the Vybz Machine Sound in Pittsburgh@ Undateka Studio .Ras Maisha also worked with SOYA SOS of the Chill Factor Int Band on two of his albums.Soya SOS has worked with Artist such as Jah Mason and Ken Serious .Ras Maisha performed at the 2008 THREE RIVERS ARTS FESTIVAL with the Fourmula 412 Band and Also Rock the Bridge and Emmortal Tecnique Show With Kelle Maize Ras Maisha has opened for artist such as Capleton ,Anthony B in , Sister Carroll The Meditations, Major Loyd also dancehall smasher,s such as Bugle and Charley Blacks in the U.S. Ras Maisha has also opened shows for Pittsburgh,s own Wiz Kalipha in Greensbur with Kelly Maize also Jah Itowa From out of Miami Florida & Shea Davis and the O.T.FClik outta New York for Gully T.V Show in Ohio 2009.Ras Maisha have recorde on tracks forTony Dub Shot out of Holland and D.J Veterburgh of Kopenhaggen with Soy SOS. Taurus Riley is a good idren who gave Ras Maisha some Rcouragement to keep up the work when they did worked together in Pittsburgh with Fya WYA and Universal BAND in 03-04 ,.Ras Maisha is the Son of Bongo Asher the original percussionist for the Twinkle Brothers Reggae band from Falmouth Jamaica .Ras Maisha is also good friends with Kymani Marley since childhood who together with older brother FYA-Ras-CHE who runs the Studio 5 Kymani Marley Youth Organization , Recognition day in Falmouth Trelawny Jamaica.
