FRUTALOKA

About Me

Are you looking for an exciting band?
FRUTALOKA are coming from the most vibrant areas of Birmingham, with members from diverse cultural and musical backgrounds in order to provide high-quality entertainment. They are all dedicated musicians with professional attitude and genuine ideas. Their gigs are filled with warm vibes and a fresh atmosphere which generates spontaneous dancing and soul expression.
It is hard to describe their musical style. Is it an exotic fusion of world grooves? Actually, their music represents a journey throughout the world. From tropical rainforests to remote islands and from vast oceans to mesmerizing deserts, their songs include the taste of the fruits with captivating sounds. They blend Latin, African, Balkan, Middle-Eastern and many more. Each song has a unique combination of rhythms and melodies from all around the world. The inspiration is directly descended from the Fruit Planets (loka=planet in Sanskrit).
The seed was planted in April 2007 and firmly rooted in the hearts of the audience after successful performances at festivals and popular venues around Moseley and Digbeth. Having recorded a demo early in 2008, the band continues to grow and expand its amazing potential into new directions. A full album is arranged to be published during 2009. At the moment, they are available for bookings.
Let FRUTALOKA guide you to a frutalicious musical trip! Taste the tropical cocktail of international flavours and enjoy the beauty of a sunny life!
