Well, this is how it all began: It was winter of 2007. Antto was wandering around without a real destination. Luckily he was more into music and getting wasted, than learning Swedish grammar. At that point, a 16-year-old-boy Lassi was drunk on the music of The Rolling Stones and spent his time listening to 70’s rock and dreaming of being a rock star. One night these two boys met in a random party and decided to jam a bit. Their musical taste was pretty far from each other, but it didn’t matter. Perhaps it was even better that way. It didn’t take long before the boys found a decent place where they could play music. Henkka, a pretty experienced drummer who had always been into much more aggressive and heavier music than the two others, moved to Tampere.. Nevertheless, after some time the three guys were already friends, and decided they could also play as a band. And so was the band formed.
The next half of the year was pretty quiet in every way. The boys were learning the basics of being a band, searching for a bassist and a singer as well. They also made the instrumental parts for the songs that later on were named as SNIF and Janie. The summer was warm, beer was cold and music was the number one thing in their lives, as usual.
A few bass players were showing their skills, but none of them had enough balls to play with these three. Autumn came and the whole project had lost some of the shine. At that point 17 years old guitar and bass player Petteri, who had also a great summer with all the beautiful women and punk gigs, had got enough courage and motivation to start to find the band for him self. Exactly at the same time Margus was learning to play guitar and sang along to Mr. Ville Valos music. He decided his life didn’t have enough meaning without making music himself, so he sent an application to muusikoiden.net. And Petteri did the same thing as well. The next day Antto invited both of the guys to show what they’ve got musically.
The first training sessions were going towards hell, literally. Petteri didn’t know almost any of the songs the others wanted to play and Margus was just too shy with his voice. But thank god there was plenty of beer available. Because soon the boys were playing Knocking on heavens doors, In joy and sorrow and Paratiisi like old friends. And it wasn’t the last time the boys played together. A 5-member-band was formed with an intention to play Herwood Rock n Roll.
Things started moving really smoothly, a lot of songs were written in a short time and the guys have been training a lot. Too Sober and Sad Johnny were the first demo-songs they recorded. Soon they will record some more. And hopefully we all can see them on the stage this summer. This is only the prelude. You just wait for the chorus.
