RAFF TODESCO

Le prime esperienze discografiche di Raff Todesco risalgono agli anni 70 alla scuola di Alberto Testa a Milano nella mitica Galleria Del Corso. Scrive la musica di “ Ti accetto come sei” per Mina con testo di Gino Paoli, album La Mina nel 1975. Produce il gruppo Totem e qualche tempo dopo i Luna di Pece, poi diventati Luna ( Ariston ), quindi verso gli anni 80 i Mixage ma l'esperienza della musica italiana gli è palesemente stretta. Uno dei fondatori della discomusic italiana degli anni 80, sulla scia del movimento dance di Moroder, Gino Soccio, Cerrone; nel 1981 fonda l'etichetta discografica Fly Music con Mario Percali e Piero Fidelfatti. Immediati i grandi successi internazionali con Time “Can't you feel it”- “Shaker Shake”- “Don't Stop”/ con Video e George Aaron “Somebody”- “She's a devil”. Produce quasi esclusivamente per Discomagic contribuendo in maniera determinante all'enorme successo della Dance Italiana nel mondo. Nel 84 con Mario Percali inventa la Ram etichetta di orientamento Dance più internazionale; esce “Everybody”dei Visions cantata da Jimmy Mc Foy e “Sunshine love” di Anthony's Games. Con altri produttori crea la “On the Road”. Si intensifica in quegli anni la richiesta di sue produzioni e il suo girovagare continuo tra studi di registrazione porta alla decisione di fondare una sua etichetta personale la “Ra.Re”. Pubblica “Number one”degli Arm - “Last Summer” Wish Key – “Why Why” Ram Band – “Ziezo” Jimmy Mc Foy – “Arabeat” Hally&K.B. Nel frattempo conosce Sergio Bonzanni , è il tempo della House Music e nasce con lui la Magma records nel 1992. La caratteristica principale delle produzioni di Raff Todesco è senza dubbio la poliedricità. Non si trova nelle sue songs un arrangiamento che sia uguale o simile al precedente. La crisi discografica incombente, soprattutto nell'ambito Dance, indirizza Raff verso altri orizzonti musicali: con Sony pubblica “Oh Woman” e con Emi “Talking That Trash” di Arthur Miles , noto singer Blues, del quale pubblica 3 album cd di cui 2 lives. Nell'ambito dance arriva il successo in Brasile di “Elvis isn't dead” 2 album che arrivano ai primi posti delle charts hits. Nel 2000 epoca del Rap scopre e collabora con i N.O.A nel loro primo successo Tam Tam e nel loro primo Album “Fuori dal mazzo”. Ora oltre alla House Music, come produttore e autore sperimenta i nuovi orientamenti electro-dance. Sta ora fondando una nuova etichetta discografica, che interesserà particolarmente i D.J.
