The Machine Gunners

About Me

The Machine Gunners started as a collaboration between Matthew and Myles. We now have Dan on various guitars, Bill on Bass, and Adam on drums.

"This group was born when lead singer Matthew Grist was looking for a piano player through MySpace and happened upon Myles Clarke, who was sound engineering for Pete Townshend and The Who at the time. Clarke immediately saw a potential between the pair and they soon got a proper band together. They play dark and morose sounds based on “Britishness, the good old days, nightmare relationships, self-doubt, life and death.” This is stripped down, hypeless, proper music. No synths."

Clash Magazine, Ones-to-watch, October 08.
