He began spinning hardcore with vinyl when he was 13 years old. At age 15 Han had his first gig in the south of the Netherlands using the name Mindripper. After that he performed at different locations with his hardcore sound and also discovered the art of producing music with software and hardware.
Around the year 1999 the Hardcore scene had a fallback and Han went to other party’s like: Innercity, Qlimax and Sensation, that’s where he met the love of his life: TECHNO! Artists like Ken Ishii, Remy, Lady Aida, Carl Cox, Sven Väth and Laurent Garnier made Han understand the impact, the complicity and differentiation of Techno.
In the year 2001 “Dj Han Solo†was born!
Han Solo: a dj who (with his hardcore background) focuses on the harder styles of techno!His vinyl was traded in for a new kind of performing device: a laptop with controllers and programs like Ableton and Traktor Dj!
Nowadays Han Solo performs at different techno party’s in the Netherlands like: Solar 2008, TechNORm, Yum Yum, SuperNintechno e.o. And spends lot’s of time in the studio working on records and new live-act’s.
In 2006 Han Solo started organising party's under the name: TechNORm, in a real great venue in the south of te Netherlands called; Nieuwe Nor. With about 14 succesfull editions of techNORm Han played along with dj's like 2000andOne, Jan Liefhebber, Lady Aida, Darko Esser, Warren Fellow, Sandy Warez, Joris Voorn, Speedy J, Pan Pot e.o.
In the beginninig of 2008 Han teamed up with Minimahlzeit hero's and brothers Dave and Jorg Bauer.. the result: Mahlzeit! (miniMahlzeit for Minimal and Maximahlzeit for Techno).
