About Me

Much too much to tell in any brief introduction, but here's the short story.I'm a walking contradiction and I like it that way. I have many responsibilities that I cherish and honor through the best possible efforts and I take pride in doing things well. However, I'm also an addict of fun and I put just as much effort into that as I do anything else. You may see me on one day handling my business as a father, husband, counselor for juvenile offenders, or small business owner/operator and then you'll see me a few hours later spewing vulgarities on stage with my band and a drink in hand. To put it bluntly, when it's something I care about, I go about it the only way I know how. Full tilt baby. And I really don't care what anyone else thinks of me or how they choose to judge me. To steal a line from Cowboy's All Pro Wide Receiver, Terrel Owens, "I LOVE ME SOME ME"!!!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

All the ones I'd like to meet most are dead. Getcha-pull brother Dime. Send one Randy's way.I've also already met the single most beautiful woman in the world and she has reminded me that good men are supposed to devote themselves whole-heartedly to a woman that is worthy of his worship.
Which Greek God are you?

My Result: Apollo
The son of Zeus, and the brother of the goddess Artemis,he is the god of arts,
archery, and divination. He represents order, harmony, and civilization in a way
that most other Olympian deities cannot quite equal. Apollo is most often associated
with the cultivated arts of music and medicine, and his role as the leader
of the Muses establishes him as a patron of
intellectual pursuits.

With pride, I stand alone.

Man, it's been a few days and I can't figure out what it is, but I'm in a funk.  The funny thing is, I have no real reason to be.  Most things are going relatively well, but I can't help thi...

This is a first.

Euniphoria

My deviance eats away at my soul. This is the real me, so why should I deny it? I'm a good person, but I'm a person nonetheless. Should I be held to a higher standard just because I try to be a good ...

Rocks

If I gave you a handful of rocks, what would you do with them? Would you throw them at me? Would you use them to build up a wall to keep me out? Would you cherish them as a gift? It's been said that ...

Forever (a sestina)

"Forever" Responsibility burdens the mind. Exhausting effort, leaves spirit behind. A futile action. A slap in the face. I want to run and get out of this place. A coward I'm not, but what shall I do...

Transcendecadence

In a word I am told that we're dying since we're born and since then there hasn't been much to prove contrary.  For the most part, seconds tick by, minutes become hours, and the days are gone bef...
