Band History OAG was formed in 1992 and is Malaysia's pioneer alternative rock band. Its original members are Radhi(vocal & guitar), Chi (drums), Ivan(lead guitar) and Lam(bass). In 1994, they recorded a demo tape and sent it to Paul Moss, a producer at Positive Tone. Impressed by what he heard on the tape, he immediately got these guys signed up under then unknown label Positive Tone.
In 1995, Lam and Ivan had to leave OAG to further their studies. They were replaced by Adin(lead guitar) and Edmund(bass). With the new band members, the band went on an extensive tour around Malaysia and won a huge fanbase as a result. OAG's popularity was further extended when they were firstshow in Coca Cola's comercial.
OAG's success was proven when they won The Best New Artist catagory in Anugerah Industri Muzik (AIM) 1996. Their 60's TV video clip was also nominated for The Best Video Clip. Beside that, the clip was in fourth position for 6 consecutive months in Chart Show's Best of 1995 that was shown in Metro Vision.
The music that OAG plays is called 60's Crunchy Pop Fuzz, based on the combination of the 60's music era and todays music, resulting in a unique brand of music which was quickly identified with all that is OAG. All of their lyrics are written by Radhi and his band members.
Amongst its many achievements, OAG was given the honour to sing The 9th FIFA/Coca Cola Cup World Youth Championship theme song, held on 16 June, 1997. The event held for the first time in Malaysia featured OAG singing the theme song and was aired in the 25 participating countries. The song, Name Of The Game was written by Radhi and the lyrics written by Paul Moss...lagu ni khas utk korunk!.teruskan sokongan korunk!!.
