Soul . In today’s musical climate, the word is overused and undermined. But in the case of Bekah, the word sums up this incredibly talented woman perfectly.

Bekah has been singing since she was only four years old, performing at family functions and the like. She began taking lessons when she was eight, which helped her voice develop into the angelic alto you hear today. As Bekah found herself musically, her song writing was developing strongly and she had the opportunity to work with the late Paul Gleeson on a few songs back in 2000.

In 2003, Bekah appeared on Good Morning Australia with Bert Newton, Australia’s highest rated morning show at the time, which attracted a significant amount of attention to this gifted young singer. She has also worked with some of Australia’s most talented artists and producers, including most recently appearing on Ken Hell’s single “Truck”, from DJ Nino Brown’s recent Blazin’ 2007 compilation.

The pure soul that Bekah exudes is unmistakable. Her voice is extremely unique and adaptable, as is evident by her catalogue to date, while she is also an adept musician, with skills at the keyboard, guitar and the cajon, a Latin drum. Her dancing is also a strong point and a passion; something which she feels will be a big part of her music and self-expression. And after going through many personal trials and tribulations in the last year or so, Bekah has never been stronger and more determined to succeed through her music.

In 2007, Bekah, along with musical and life partner Cee-For, brings her newly found world perspective to her music. They had been working together since they met in 2000, but only decided to form their formidable dual act during their one year, around the world trip in 2004, where they lived and worked in Toronto, Canada for most of that time. This experience had a resounding effect on the two artists, as they immersed themselves in the Toronto urban scene. Cee’s flows and Bekah’s harmonies come together effortlessly, complementing each other and creating a sound unlike any other this country, or the world, has seen to date. Their debut mixtape as a duo, The Soul Movement mixtapes (Volume 1 and 2), are sure to be landmark releases and cement these two as a name to watch.

The genre of my music is Soul. It's definitley a career path i'll be taking.I also dance, been doing so since i was 12 years old. I dance Street Latin, Ballroom as well as Hip Hop. Just another hobbie that i really enjoy doing, it keeps me fit!!And Travelling, dont get me started. My man and I went around the world in 2004 and did a working holiday in Canada, Toronto!!
