For so long, record execs and labels have controlled the music industry from the inside out. Very similar to the way the government is ran, record labels only allow the consumer to believe they have major influence in the industry, but "The Reality Is..." we all are simply going along for the ride. Radio networks, print media, television stations are all in it for the money NOT THE MUSIC, NOT THE TALENT, NOT THE ARTIST!!! This has all been made very clear over the last few years. We've seen some of the greatest remain unknown while the gimmicks rise to the top. Several underground outlets have popped up here and there in response to this horrible epidemic, but none have really been able to make a loud enough "noise" to get the attention of the masses. Abstract Etiquette Mag is here to do just that. It is my understanding that in order to take on something as huge as the multi million dollar music industry, we have to come at them from every possible direction. We have to take back what is rightfully ours.
We have the talent, the mindset and the love for MUSIC to fight this. We have to get in their ears, in their minds and in their hearts.
Abstract Etiquette Mag supports all unsigned artists and hopes that by providing the consumer with a visual [DVD], print [MAGAZINE], audio [AE RADIO Podcast] , & of course by offering a number of free or low cost showcases and charity events [FOR THE PEOPLE].
