Anomaly is an alternative-rock band from Phoenix led by frontman and principal songwriter Michael Herman. The band focuses on creating quality original music with influences from many genres. The debut album, 'Teen Magnet Poetry', is a collection of songs primarily inspired by the experience of growing up, with subjects including finding one's place in the world and a series of unworkable loves, among others. The album incorporates complex musical ideas into familiar song structures, frequently dark and subtle but not without its share of rockin' good times as well.
Herman, whose intricate guitar riffs and smooth melodic lines have been wooing the ladies for years, is joined on the guitar by Eric Wilson, who was chosen out of a pool of dozens of applicants by achieving the highest score on "Guitar Hero". Sir Herbert Washington adds a touch of class on the keys and harmonies, and the lineup is rounded out by Kyle "Lord of Bass" Lords and Dan Milligan on drums. Collaboration from the outside has come from David Missal, who sometimes help us rock our shows as well.
