SCRATCHY & MONO [NEW SONGS]

Scratchy & Mono first started when Andreas Bohlin and Jens Torvaldsson decided to join forces and turn all their musical influences into one project, they had both for a long time played in many different constelations in various genres but neither of them seemed to be completely satisfied with the outcome. At first, Scratchy & Mono was nothing more than a rock'n'roll band but as time went by Jens & Andreas discovered the no-wave scene and mindtravelled back to the 80's, to their birthplaces and to the post-modern landscapes of Sonic Youth and Pixies. Jens secret crush on old school-hardcore were also blended into the mix and Andreas feel for harmonies and alternative progressions came as a gift from Mother Earth. The lyrics are often abstract and hard to grip when Jens puts his mind to it. While Andreas, with his relaxed attitude to life, mostly reflect partys and orgies in his lyrics.
After a long search for young talents in the grand metropolis, Nassjo, Scratchy & Mono found its heartbeat in the form of Robert Lindqwist, a young man in his finest hour who for a long time had been playing in YOSHI DID IT and were greatly influenced by "Animal" from The Muppets (he still hopes to meet his idol some day). And so the trio began its long and hard journey towards a still concealed goal. But something was missing. Andreas & Jens sat down with a large bottle of unknown liquid and examined old VCR's, they soon realized that the key to perfection was dark and curly-haired (not as in "dog", no, as in Phil Lynott and Jimi Hendrix etc.). Mattias came out of nowhere with his afro and basketball-fysics and before anyone had time to blink, Scratchy & Mono were a fact.
