Be glad for what you’ve got, don't take anything for granted

About Me

"Which way I fly is hell; myself am hell;
And in the lowest deep a lower deep
Still threatening to devour me opens wide,
To which the hell I suffer seems a heaven."
John Milton, 'Paradise Lost', 1667
"Insanity in individuals is something rare - but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule" - Nietzsche
"No such thing as spare time
No such thing as free time
No such thing as down time
All you got is lifetime"
- Rollins
"Aren't you sure of what you're saying? Are you going to change yet again, shift your position according to the questions that are put to you, and say that the objections are not really directed at the place from which you are speaking? Are you going to declare yet again that you have never been what you have been reproached with being? Are you already preparing the way out that will enable you... to spring up somewhere else and declare as you're now doing: no, no, I'm not where you are lying in wait for me, but over here, laughing at you?"
"What, do you imagine that I would take so much trouble and so much pleasure in writing, do you think that I would keep so persistently to my task, if I were not preparing - with a rather shaky hand - a labyrinth into which I can venture, in which I can move my discourse, opening up underground passages, forcing it to go far from itself, finding overhangs that reduce and deform its itinerary, in which I can lose myself and appear at last to eyes that I will never have to meet again. I am no doubt not the only one who writes in order to have no face. Do not ask me who I am and do not ask me to remain the same: leave it to our bureaucrats and our police to see that our papers are in order. At least spare us their morality when we write."
"Voting is not an expression of power, but an admission of powerlessness" - Fred Woodworth

My Interests

Literature - French, Russian, English, it's all good, punk, hardcore, obscure 80s and 90s US indie rock bands, metal, cycling, walking, deadlifts, bench pressing, squats and generally hauling heavy-ass weights about, history, anarchism, philosophy, cultural and literary theory, solitude, current affairs and politics, situationism, healthy food, musing, brown rice, stargazing, cynicism, hanging with my friends, all the usual stuff really, blah blah... oh yeah, I'm a cat person innit

I'd like to meet:

If you don't know me and have never spoken to me, I'd prefer it if you could message me first BEFORE you add me. Thanks. If you're looking to add me solely to increase your friend count, DON'T BOTHER. It's not a popularity contest and I don't want to be just another number on your list. Think on that. Don't waste my time or yours.
I WON'T ACCEPT ADDS FROM ANY BANDS, SO REFRAIN FROM TRYING TO ADD ME, IT'S VERY ANNOYING
