Drugstore Chemist

About Me

In a dingy downtown bar, a Dryers Ice Cream employee got off work four hours ago and has since ordered about a fifth of rum with cokes. He is scribbling poetry on a napkin and texting with his ex-girlfriend. It looks like they might hook up again tonight. Next to him, a skinny guy in a truckers hat, taps on the bar stool and talks to the bartender. He's energetic, and well versed in plant ecology. Later that night, a tall, tattooed man with long black hair and black beard walks into the bar, alone and morose. He asks for the cheapest well whiskey and a beer and sits alone in the shadows.

Sounds Like: please donate to help us make our first ep!

So this is a recording of Mike Lawson (guitar), Eliot Butler (bass) and myself (Anthony Anglen, drums) experimenting with our newest project while our synth player was out for a rehearsal. It derives from a random jam which progressed to some basic structuring and then an iPhone recording it from outside the room... in about 20 minutes. A little audio tweaking and the clarity shocked me so I figured it'd be worth a post.Video was some old footage of mine tweaked beyond any recognition for some fun, quick visual stimuli. It's all pretty experimental, we'd love any feedback you've got to give, and I'm in no way apposed to sharing, so spread the magic ;]
