I am a 34 year old (yes I AM posting my real age!!) female that is married to Dean Trahan. We have 2 girls, Ashley 4, almost 5, and Kaitlyn who is 3. 9 months after Kait was born, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had to have a mastectomy to remove the large tumor, and have had several rounds of differnt chemos, and 30 treatments of radiation. Dean has been absolutely awesome in taking up the slack, and helping thru all of this. I wouldn't have made it without him. I am now in remission and have been thru several surgeries to reconstruct my breasts and to remove my ovaries as I had a higher chance of getting ovarian cancer due to treatments I have received. I have also had issues with some of the medications. One of which caused a seizure at the beginning January 2008. I am now unable to drive until mid April because of MN law. I know this all sounds bad, but I have gotten a lot of positives out of this as well. I know that Dean, his family, and our friends will stand by us and support us no matter what. I know that I am a strong person that can take whatever life dishes out, and I appriciate the little things that I took for granted before. I have met a lot of awesome and caring people, that I wouldn't have otherwise. All in all, I wouldn't change a thing.
