Simon Falconer is an up and coming singer songwriter from Cardiff, UK.
After finishing university in Swansea, South Wales, Simon decided to head back to his hometown Cardiff to pursue his passion for music. After performing throughout South Wales, Bristol and London through much of 2005 and 2006 and developing his live sound he decided he was ready to put his songs down and record an EP. With a strong back catalogue of songs and the desire to record with a full band line up Simon set out to find the right musicians to help produce the recording.
In 2007, whilst continuing to perform, Simon began rehearsing and putting together the songs with new band members Pete Fry, Matt Thomas and Si Stuart. After months of writing and rehearsing they headed up to Twin Peaks studios in the Brecon Beacons (South Wales) to begin recording. Under the guidance of renowned producer and engineer, Adam Fuest (Babyshambles, Seal and the Cure) they spent five intensive days recording and mixing the Fireflies EP.
With the Fireflies EP ready to be released 2008 looks to be a promising and exciting time for Simon and the band.
