Bankxta, born Richard Banks was born and raised in Tallahassee FL, from child hood he came up in a single parent home, with his brother being raised by their mother who was working two jobs to support them. He really had no relationship with his father other then having his name. Threw out the years he had to learn a lot on his own, so he grew up faster from not having that father figure around to teach him what its like to be a man. In the years of elementary school he treated life as a regular kid having fun and developing skills in sports. Then in middle school is when things started looking real serious to him, the decisions he was going to have to make would better him in life. While issues between him and his mother made him run away from home to find answers, at that point he realize and chose to stay with “the man he is named after”. As he grew up in the house with his father he instantly became a man. Still into sports he also was in the streets at a young age he learned a lot of things your parents would not be able to teach you, from working a nine to five or hustling to survive-he seen it all. After a set back in middle school he made it on threw to high school. While on the first day he realized that there is no room for mistakes, decisions he made were not regrettable. As a freshman he started on the basketball team with in due time he also began playing football. Even though he had love for his music he still was more focus on sports. He began becoming a star on the court and the field building his name around the city, but still even though being a star in both sports his coaches didn’t get him the exposure he needed for college. Near graduation he knew that playing sports in college wasn’t looking as a future for him he began working and getting back into his music. So at this point he had to begin hustling to get what ever he needed. While in high school he met the mother of his child who gave birth to their son that is when he had to take on fatherhood. He was excited to be a father, He made the choice to attending a community college in his home town, he begin noticing that he needed to do more to provide for his son so he took another route and left school. So working full time and doing the music full time he started a group called B.D.E (BUST DOWN ENAPRISE), in 2006 they drop a three song demo. Even though they were solo artists due to a member of the group quitting on what they started, Bankxta begin focusing more on his solo career. While working on his own music he dropped his mix tape in 2008 called T.U.S (TALLAHASSEE’S UNKNOWN SEKRET), which is in the streets as we speak (GET YOUR COPY NOW)!!!
